I highly recommend going to support groups as soon as you feel ready. I went to my first support group a little over a week after my loss and found it so helpful to hear other people's stories and share mine with people who understood. You are not alone!
All of these groups listed are FREE!
I would recommend starting with one of the PSI support groups. As the name implies this is an international organization so people from around the world are encouraged to attend. They have a really consistent structure that is very helpful especially when new to going to support groups for pregnancy and infant loss. After several of their support groups my husband and I started to feel like the long introduction that had been helpful initially was too repetitive so at that point we preferred other support groups.
They also offer support groups for pregnancy after loss as well as many other support groups around pregnancy and postpartum which can be found at their website.
The Star Legacy Foundation is an amazing foundation that is doing some great advocacy work around stillbirth prevention. They also offer support groups. Their groups are a little shorter and less structured than the PSI groups. There is group specific for dads as well as one for grandparents. Hay unos grupos de habla hispana tambien.
Sad Dads Club is for any non-birthing partners regardless of gender. They have weekly and monthly virtual groups as well as a Discord channel. There is also an annual in person retreat.
This support group through Love and Loss is specifically for parents whose babies where in the NICU either when they passed or before they passed. You can sign up for the Zoom meetings here or check out some of their other offering for NICU parents here.
Offers support groups led by licensed counselors or social workers. They offer three different monthly support groups.
