There are currently tax deductions for stillborn babies available in the following states: Arizona, Arkansas, Connecticut, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, and North Dakota. They are around $2,000. There will hopefully be more states adding this tax deductions soon so check to make sure your state hasn't been added. You can find all the information and even sign up to help lobby for the deductibles in your state through the Star Legacy Foundation.
Two different funds available. The Securing End-of-Life Expenses (SEOLE) fund provides support for autopsy, funeral, burial and cremation expenses. The Grief Recovery Assistance Program (GRASP) provides funding for counseling services. Both require your baby to be at least 20 weeks gestational age.
They provide financial support for low income families who experienced miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth, or infant loss.
Helps cover outstanding hospital bills from miscarriage or stillbirth up to $500
Provides assistance with hospital bills associated with the delivery of a stillborn baby up to $1,000
Provides financial assistance for funeral, burial, or cremation costs. They also have the Jesse's Grant for assistant with a grave marker.
Provides funds up to $500 for those who can demonstrate a need for financial assistance due to leave taken when child was born.
Luke's Purpose is dedicated to helping families with finances related to child loss, including funeral and cemetery costs, mental health fees, and medical bills.
They build wooden caskets for miscarried and stillborn babies. They are also trying to help support funeral arrangement costs.
Final Farewell helps families provide an affordable funeral for a loved child. They provide financial assistance, advice and guidance. They’ve helped families from all religions and backgrounds.
They only provide assistance for burial if the child was between the ages of 1-17.
