My husband and I went on a grief retreat six weeks after Genevieve was born and it was incredibly helpful. I definitely recommend going to a retreat. Most retreats are heavy subsidized by donations to make them as affordable as possible. If they still are unaffordable consider doing a go fund me or something similar. A family friend set up a Go Fund me for us and we got enough money to go on a retreat, for my husband to get his memorial tattoo, get an urn for Genevieve and still have left overs so we plan on going on another retreat. If you know of a retreat I don't have listed please email me so I can add it.

"A focus of the retreat will be brainstorming of how we can infuse grief into action to improve systems for parents. If you are currently a student, volunteer, professional, or educator – or aspire to be – in any field related to pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and loss, we’d love to work alongside you to discuss changes that can be made to perinatal care systems. There are two locations one in Ontario and one in British Columbia, but it is open to families all over Canada.
