My husband and I went on a grief retreat six weeks after Genevieve was born and it was incredibly helpful. I definitely recommend going to a retreat. Most retreats are heavy subsidized by donations to make them as affordable as possible. If they still are unaffordable consider doing a Go Fund me or something similar. A family friend set up a Go Fund me for us and we got enough money to go on a retreat, for my husband to get his memorial tattoo, get an urn for Genevieve and still have left overs so we plan on going on another retreat. If you know of a retreat I don't have listed please email me so I can add it.
Faith's Lodge had a merger with the BeliEve foundation in 2025 and is now Child Loss Foundation. Faith's Lodge is located in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. Their retreats costs $500 and includes food and lodging. There is also financial support available. I have only ever heard great things about their retreats and definitely plan on going some day. They have different retreats for all different types of child loss and can be for a couple or an individual for the same price. They also offer family retreats which can be incredibly special for loss parents who have other living children.
Luella's Lodge is in Oakwood, Illinois. They have retreats for couples, moms, and moms with a support sister. They do have some scholarships available. Andrew and I attended in August, 2025. We absolutely loved it and found it very healing.

Retreats in California. They have retreats for mothers or fathers and even retreats for siblings
This retreat is for loss mothers only and is located in Northern California. I am familiar with the general location because I grew up near by and will say it is a very healing place. This retreat costs over a thousand dollars per person so not the most affordable of the options here.
This retreat is specifically for loss parents who either currently work in perinatal health space or plan to. "A focus of the retreat will be brainstorming of how we can infuse grief into action to improve systems for parents. If you are currently a student, volunteer, professional, or educator – or aspire to be – in any field related to pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and loss, we’d love to work alongside you to discuss changes that can be made to perinatal care systems. "
This is a family bereavement camp. It is geared for full families grieving. This is an absolutely wonderful option for loss parents with living children. The camp is offered no cost to families but they suggest making a donation of $750 per family. There are two locations one in Ontario and one in British Columbia, but it is open to families all over Canada.
